Cradle Purse

I finally figured out what else to make for the little girl! I made a cradle purse! I used a pattern that I already had, but I left off the ruffles and made a couple of little changes. I used Red Heart yarn in Purple and White. With a G hook. I put the hood on crooked. I guess I just counted wrong or something. But I'm sure a two year old little girl won't mind. I got the little doll from WalMart for a dollar!

I also made a blue mesh skull cap to go with the other one. I am going to give it to her Grandfather, who lives here. He will be going up there in a week or two to visit her.

Mesh Skull Cap w/Flower

This hat had a lot of trial and error. The first one I made was way to big! It was supposed to fit a two year old little girl, but it was too big for me! The next one was my size. The next one I used a different yarn and a smaller hook and it fit me. So the next one I made came out like this! Finally! It fits my two year old boy perfectly! He loves to model for me. LOL These will be great pictures to show his future girl friends!!! Can't wait for that. I used Caron Simply soft in autumn red for the hat and an off white for the flower. Here is the pattern: Mesh Skull Cap. You have to scroll down a little. The third one I made went to my sister so I have no picture of it. And the first two, well, I didn't even finish making them. I just trashed them. So now I will package them up and get them ready to go. But first I have to make a toy to go with it. I might make something else to go with it, I'm not sure yet though. All of the finished items will go to a little girl that was recently diagnosed with Leukemia.

Hats & Booties

These are all of the preemie size hats and booties that I made for the children's hospital. I still need to drop them off though. The hats are made with the kniffty knitter. I used two strands of yarn held together. Patons ~ Be mine in wuzzy white, and various colors of the Bernat Baby Softee. They are so quick to make. I love it! The booties are made with this pattern, Quick & Easy Tiny Booties. They were supper fast to make too. For them I used Bernat Softee baby in soft lilac, pink, and baby denim. I also used Caron simply soft in off white. Although, I think it looks more like a soft yellow. There is one pair of booties for each hat! I attached the little cards to each of them. They are for the crochet group that I have. The say Know Someone Cares from Corpus Christi Crochet, on the front. On the back it says this was made by hand by a member of Corpus Christi Crochet. Not only does it add a little bit of a personal touch, but it also puts our group name out there. There is also the URL to our group myspace sight, and my email address. Just in case some one would like to join our group.
