Something a little different

I took the kids to my father-in-laws parents house this weekend. The boys were very much like little boys. LOL We were out in the country in south Texas. They found all kinds of dead animals. Including a hog, a dog, and a bird. Not to mention the various bones they loved finding. They wanted me to take pictures of the rotting corpses of a couple of the animals. Eww... I said NO! That's just gross. As we went on our walk I did happen to take some really good pics on the old train tracks near by. I used my brand new camera! My loving husband likes to spoil me. :) It's got a 10x optical zoom and 7.1 mega pixels, as well as many other features. I took it out this weekend for a "test drive" so to say. I made these into black and whites. Just because I think pics of people walking on the train tracks always look better in black and white.

My favorite pic is the one on the bottom. Can you tell? This is my father-in-law and my youngest son. I think it looks like it's one of the old pictures you see on the post cards or something. It sure would make a great Father's Day card. I have gotten many good pics with this new camera. I am loving it! These are just some of my favorites. I've been wanting to get some good pics on the train tracks for a while now.






On another note. I haven't been doing much crocheting lately. I'm kind of burned out, I guess. I am beginning to get started again. But I don't expect to be getting anything done soon. I have my step kids down for the week. So I have a houseful! It's loud, rough and crazy. But I love it. I guess that's because I know it won't last too long.

I just started a dear stalker hat for my FIL. Our Christmas isn't over yet. So I still have some time. DH gets home on the first or second of NEXT YEAR. So we will open up the rest of our gifts then. That doesn't give me a lot of time to get it done does it. I guess I better get off the computer and get busy!
